Artificially Intelligent * Adaptive Instruction

    Train-to-Code Product Information

Our great new Train-to-Code system is equally at home in staff training or in observational methods courses

Train-to-Code is the answer to the fastest way to train students or staff to discriminate and objectively describe behaviors. This remarkable module allows instructors to incorporate their own video and expert descriptive coding systems so training may be as customized as you want it to be. This expert reference system then becomes an adaptive trainer to offer both instructions, assessment, and constant tutorial feedback to students learning to correctly identify and label behaviors shown in the video.

    Student Features:

    1. Student logs in with student ID and is immediately connected to instructor's course and section so that progress reports and certification is electronically delivered to instructors as it is created!

    2. Student begins with Foundations Training by:

    a. First step is to read operational definitions while viewing alternative video examples of those defined behaviors and learning the appropriate descriptive "coding" terms by which to label each.

    b. Next step is answering questions to certify learning all categories and/or to diagnose any remaining weaknesses for further work.

    c. Next step is seeing and labeling each example.

    Instructor Features:

    1. Instructors register with us to establish an optional on-site or on-line course/section portal for accessing student progress reports.

    2. Instructors may use video and coding systems supplied, or may integrate their own by:

    a. Importing any digital video file depicting behaviors to be discriminated.

    b. Creating a custom "taxonomy" of descriptive categories, associated abbreviated "codes", possible keypad equivalents for quick recording input, and full operational definitions.

    3. Instructors determine which videos and/or portions of a video will serve as Foundations Training.

    4. Instructors can define subsets of any video or even alternative videos for Generalization Training.

    5. Instructors can define subsets or any video or even alternative videos for final Assessment, then view inter-observer agreement scores, including simple percent agreement and Cohen's Kappa.
